Shadow Ridge Kitchen Design and Remodel in OKC

For this kitchen remodel in the OKC area, our homeowners wanted an open space with a functional kitchen. In the existing builders-grade kitchen, not only did the partial wall to the Living Room close off the kitchen, but the high-bar peninsula (the “Edmond Swing” Brenda calls them – all builders put them in!)  was closing and cramping the flow of the kitchen.  Starting with a new footprint, EKB Home – Brenda and Megan, created this open and fully functional kitchen with quartz counters and a soft stained finish on our custom cabinetry.  Contrasting the cabinetry is the matte grey custom venthood placed atop a small shelf over the cooktop for quick access to spices and oils.  We placed the sink in the reeded and curved front island to allow our homeowner to socialize with guests while preparing meals. To enhance the functionality of the new space, we specified specific interior accessories including a spice drawer, paper towel holder, and roll out trays, and more.  This prevents the contents from being lost in the back of a deep pantry cabinet like happens so often. A chef’s space like no other!
