The Comforts of Home – Full Kitchen Remodel in OKC

This home, located on a private lake in West OKC, was lacking in form and function.  Our client wanted a kitchen that they could entertain in, or just prepare meals for the two of them in a functional and beautiful space.  We started by completely redesigning the floorplan, placing the cooking at the center of the kitchen with the focal point venthood above.  We removed the built-in pantry closet at one end of the room and extended our cabinets fully down this wall.  Our custom cabinetry was finished in a soft stain on the perimeter, with a contrasting darker stain for the island.  We designed and built the flat black venthood which really shines with the darker stain apron.  Look close and you will see that our doors are not simple shaker doors – these are mitered doors which provide more elegance and beauty.  At the window side of the island we created this custom and upholstered banquette seating area to follow the wrap-around lowbar quartz counters.  Plenty of seating for guests to interact while cooking.  As happens often, this client went on over the following five years to have us remodel other rooms in the house, including all bathrooms, laundry, bedrooms, and even their garage!  Wonderful space for a wonderful couple!

Review from our homeowners:

We hired Edmond Kitchen & Bath (“EK&B”) to do a complete remodel of our kitchen and powder bath. There is no other way to say it other than to say they are top notch. Their work completely exceeded our expectations and the contractors on site were fantastic. We are elated with the results. Neil is an absolutely great carpenter. He is a perfectionist and he will spend whatever time he needs to ensure the job is worthy of EK&B’s reputation. Scott was very reliable, we never had to worry if he or the other contractors were going to show up, and he always does a professional job. We were very pleased with his work and his approach. Robert was also great. He oversaw much of the onsite construction and checked regularly to see if we had any questions or concerns.
As for Brenda and Megan, well what can we say except that they are the creative keys to a successful project. They helped us every step of the way, offering ideas for our kitchen that we would have never thought to do. They asked the right questions and helped lead us to great choices, much beyond the scope of our original expectations for the remodel. And they provided much more than creativity. Their attention to detail was evident at every meeting and in the Project notebook they created. Everything they do demonstrates true professionalism.
We prepared for the final walkthrough by going over the work several times to see what was needed. We only found a few items, which were expeditiously corrected. But when Brenda did the final walkthrough, she added a couple items that we did not notice. She then had these promptly corrected. This is as good an indication of their insistence that the job be of absolutely perfect quality as any praise we can offer. If you want a fantastic job done, you need look no further than EK&B.
But the proof of our satisfaction is that we will be contracting with them to remodel our utility room and bathrooms.
