Luxury Design for New Construction Homes in the Oklahoma City Metro.

Your builder can tell you what fits. We can tell you what works.

When you sit down to review cabinet selections for your new home, the options probably look reasonable on paper. They’re custom made to order. They’re not off a truck. But something still feels generic — like the kitchen could belong to anyone.

That feeling is worth paying attention to.

What most homeowners don’t realize is that custom-made and thoughtfully designed are not the same thing. As the home is being designed and built here in Oklahoma City, the builder will continue down the predetermined path, doing what they’ve always done. Your builder’s cabinet shop builds boxes to fit the footprint. They’re not asking how you cook, how you entertain, where you actually put things, or how the space will feel to live in. Nobody in that process is a licensed designer — and in Oklahoma, that credential is optional, which means most firms simply don’t have it.

Ours do.

Design first. Always.

Our designers are licensed with the State of Oklahoma — one of a very small number of firms in this market that holds that standard. That distinction matters because design is not decoration. It’s the difference between a kitchen that looks good in photos and one that works correctly every single day.

We start every project by understanding how you actually use the space. Traffic flow. Work zones. Storage logic. Appliance integration. Lighting. The way a kitchen functions at 7am on a Tuesday is as important to us as how it looks at a dinner party. We design for both — and we render the entire space in CAD before anything is built, so you see exactly what you’re getting before a single piece of material is ordered.

The layout and function come first. Only then is the cabinetry built to execute that design.

Then there’s the construction.

Your builder’s cabinet shop makes custom boxes. What they don’t always control is how those boxes are finished — and in most new construction in this market, cabinets are spray-painted on-site by the same crew painting your trim and doors, under the same conditions, on the same schedule.

That’s not a custom finish. That’s a production shortcut applied to a custom box.

Finishes applied in uncontrolled field conditions — temperature, humidity, dust — don’t bond or cure the way a controlled shop finish does. You won’t notice it at move-in. You’ll notice it in three years when the finish under your sink starts to fail, or when the paint on a door edge chips from normal use.

Our cabinetry is built to order and finished in a controlled environment by a dedicated team. The construction standards are categorically different — joinery, material grades, hardware, finish process. If you want to get into the specifics, we’re glad to walk you through them side by side.

Builders Grade vs Our Grade.

Your kitchen cabinets are one of the highest-use systems in your home. You’ll interact with them more than the flooring, more than the countertops, more than the fixtures. The importance of quality is real — especially in a home where you’ve made intentional decisions about everything else.

We’re not asking you to take that on faith. Come see the construction. Compare it directly.

The decision timeline is fixed.

Here’s what most homeowners don’t anticipate: there’s a point in the construction timeline where this decision has to be made. Once your builder orders and frames for their cabinet package, retrofitting a custom solution becomes significantly more complicated.

If your home is currently under construction, that window may still be open. But it might be shorter than you think.

Our Process.

We run a defined process — no surprises, no ambiguity about where you are or what comes next.

1. Showroom meeting You bring your plans. We review the spaces together, walk you through our work and our designers’ approach, and give you an honest read on whether we’re the right fit for your project. No obligation at this stage.

2. Design retainer If you decide to move forward, we collect a design retainer. This is what separates serious projects from tire-kicking — and what allows us to dedicate real design time to your home.

3. Site measure We visit the home and measure the actual spaces. Plans are useful. Dimensions are what we build to.

4. CAD design Your spaces are drafted in full CAD. You’ll see the complete layout, storage configuration, door profiles, and finish selections before anything is ordered. This is where most clients realize how different a designed space is from a selected one.

5. Complete design package to your builder Before production begins, we deliver a comprehensive design package to your builder — countertop specifications, lighting and plumbing fixture selections, appliance mechanical placements, and everything else they need to coordinate the surrounding work correctly. Your builder gets exactly what they need to build around our design. The result is a finished space that works as a system, not a collection of components that happened to end up in the same room.

6. Production and installation Cabinetry is built to order and installed by our own team on a schedule coordinated with your build timeline.

Kitchen and Master Bath.

Many of our new construction clients select us to provide every cabinet in the home. Some clients start with the kitchen and master bath. These are the two spaces where cabinet design, storage engineering, and finish quality have the most daily impact — and where the gap between Builder-grade and Design-grade custom is most visible once you’ve seen the difference.

Call us. Today if you can. 405.285.1926

If you’re building a home above the noise and questioning whether your current cabinet selections belong in it — they probably don’t. Come in, bring your plans, and let’s find out if we’re the right fit before your timeline closes. We don’t do high-pressure consultations. We show you the work, explain the construction, and let you decide if it’s the right fit. If you’re in the build process and want to understand exactly what your options are before that window closes — call us. You’ll be glad you did.

Professionally Designed to Perform.

Every cabinet we build is hand-made to exacting standards — not assembled from stock components, not finished in the field. The difference shows immediately and holds up for decades. That flaking lacquer finish under your sink? That’s a builder-grade finish problem. Ours don’t do that.

The design flexibility is genuinely without limit. Any wood species — we carry eleven varieties of Oak alone. Any construction style: frameless, inset, overlay, European, or combinations of all of them. Door profiles, drawer configurations, architectural elements built to match your home’s design language. Finishes from dead flat to high gloss, textures, acrylics, and specialty options most cabinet shops have never worked with.

Hundreds of glass and metal insert selections can be incorporated directly into the cabinetry design. Integrated lighting — over, under, and interior cabinet — is designed in from the start, not added as an afterthought. Custom pull-out storage accessories are engineered to your specific habits and inventory, not selected from a catalog of what fits.

The short version: we can create it, and we can build it. And we’ll design it first so you know exactly what you’re getting

Why EKB?

We’ve been designing and building custom cabinetry and kitchens in OKC and Edmond for more than 25 years. Not a franchise. Not a national brand with a local showroom. A locally rooted firm that has spent a quarter century refining exactly this kind of work in exactly this market.

Every project begins with in-house CAD design — full renders of your space before a single piece of material is ordered. You see it, approve it, and understand it completely before we build it. The builder-ready specification drawings we produce cover every wall of every room we design, formatted to integrate directly with your builder’s plans and schedule. No translation required on their end.

We source American-made materials first, and all cabinetry is built and finished in the USA. That’s not a marketing position — it’s how we’ve operated from the beginning.

We are female owned and operated, and have been from day one.

If you want to know what our clients think, we’ll let them tell you directly.

OUR PROCESS IS RELATIONSHIP DRIVEN.

We begin each project by getting to know you, your space, and how we can improve the rooms you live in. Let’s start a conversation today.

It has been a little over a year since we completed our kitchen re-model, and even today, we are thrilled with the outcome. As a commercial contractor myself, I was looking for certain traits from the firm I hired for the project. From the initial meeting, to the final celebration, the team at Edmond Kitchen and Bath was world class. Design was carefully thought out to maximize functionality and kitchen use, and to give us the maximum visual impact. I was surprised by the painstaking care in every decision, and in every step of the creation of our new space. The quality of the cabinetry, and all of the finishes far exceeded our expectations. A year into very heavy use by our family, and there are no blemishes or defects. Their customer service a year later matched what we received during the design and installation stages. About 9 months after the project was over, our faucet stopped working correctly. We contacted EKB for advice on how to get parts, and they took it from there, including installing the new faucet components once they arrived. If I ever do another kitchen or bath project, there will be no reason to shop around. Our choice is already made.

Igo Family

Working with Edmond Kitchen & Bath (EKB) was an absolute blessing! Brenda, Megan & their team helped us define our modern farmhouse style. With their experience & design knowledge they were able to modify our basic ideas & design an awesome kitchen that met all our needs & exceeded our expectations. We were totally impressed with their attention to detail from the design & layout thru the installation & completion of our project. EKB and all their contractors are “top-notch”… all were very experienced, professional, courteous & attentive in making sure our project was completed as planned. We had no surprises and did not have to back up and re-do or change anything. In addition to the cabinetry, EKB made excellent suggestions for our wall & floor tile. Everything came together beautifully. They did not miss a thing… true perfection! We love everything about our new kitchen and would not change a thing. We cannot say enough about the high quality of their work, cabinetry, staff and contractors… it was a true joy getting to work with all of them. EKB has earned our highest recommendation.

The Robbins Family

We found Edmond Kitchen and Bath after the kitchen cabinet layout became a problem in our new construction home. They were exactly what we needed. The process was great. They had 3D modeling so they took the guess work out of what the end result would look like. The had lots of options and styles for each price point. The office staff and the owners were helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. My kitchen is my favorite room in the house and everyone asks where the cabinets came from. The only regret I have is they didn’t do the cabinets in my whole house.

New Construction Home

Personal and professional! They listened to our needs and guided us through a beautiful transformation to our kitchen. Respectful of our space throughout the process.  The talent of their entire team resulted in a beautiful and functional space that we are thankful for everyday.

The Moffat Family - Edmond

Edmond Kitchen & Bath LLC helped create the kitchen we had envisioned! Their extremely talented design team listened to our idea of expanding and updating our kitchen and masterfully brought it all together down to the last detail. It looks like a brand new room! Their professionalism was evident from the start and continued throughout the project: the design team utilizes state-of-the-art design software enhanced by their own talent in design and style. We were pleased with the skilled and conscientious craftsman that worked on our project and Edmond Kitchen & Bath LLC were realistic and accurate for their timeline for completion of the project. We highly recommend them!

The Over Family - North Edmond

Edmond Kitchen & Bath designed and remodeled our kitchen and we could not be happier with the results. The design team took into account our vision and created an extraordinary model that was beyond our imagination. The contractors were all knowledgeable, courteous, punctual, tidy and dependable. The quality of their workmanship is first-rate and will, without a doubt, stand the test of time. The team responded to any question or concern we had promptly and did not flinch when we changed our mind or questioned a decision for the fourth time. They were extremely patient with us and quick to adapt to anything new we threw at them. Our project was completed week early and the only hit to our budget was caused by our own indecisiveness.
We absolutely recommend Edmond Kitchen & Bath and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Allisha - North Edmond

We thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone on the team at Edmond Kitchen and Bath, including the owners Robert and Brenda Helms, the rest of the design staff, Megan, Maureen and Addie, as well as Scott who ran the day to day work and coordinated with all the contractors. And speaking of the contractors, we were very impressed with the qualify of their work. It was obvious to us that they took great pride in their work and it showed in the finished products. And they were very respectful of us, our time and our questions. Everyone was so professional and worked hard to meet our every need. We were happy to have them all in our home. My husband and I were very inexperienced in doing any kind of remodel project and everyone at EKB was very patient with us as we asked tons of questions and changed our minds multiple times. They raised issues and made suggestions that we would never have thought of on our own and that were key to our overall satisfaction with the project. One of the things I liked most about the process was that we were able to see great drawings of what the finished rooms would look like and had probably 99% of the decisions made re the design before the demo ever began. That reduced a great deal of the stress and virtually eliminated delays along the way. The project was completed within budget and on time. While we were initially somewhat stressed about the cost, we did not feel pressured to go beyond what we were comfortable with, but rather were provided options and allowed time to think about those before making a decision. Now that the project is complete and we are enjoying our new kitchen, utility/bathroom, and “drop zone” we have no regrets and truly appreciate the value EKB brought to our project. We are thoroughly enjoying time spent in our new space!

The Cooks - Norman

We did a very contemporary kitchen and house remodel. We already had an architect and a builder when we saw their showroom. They had exactly what I wanted in terms of design and product so I had all three groups work together. Brenda knew exactly how to make each detail work. These were details that the architect and builder hadn’t even thought of–such as lighting placement, specialty drawers, a custom storage/dog bed, etc. She also had access to quality products that we hadn’t found in other places. We couldn’t be more pleased and would definitely recommend Brenda and her group to anyone.

Evie - New Contemporay home

We needed a total tear out and remodel of our master bath. We had great design help from Brenda Helms, Everyone who came into our home was extremely professional and the Foreman/Supervisor kept us informed every step of the way about who to expect and when. And miracle of miracles, they did indeed show up when they were supposed to. We wanted to remain in out master bedroom, which of course made their job more difficult, but they worked around us and everything was cleaned up every evening.
I would highly recommend this company for any major project

Toni - Oak Tree Park

We cannot say enough positive about Brenda and her team at Edmond Kitchen & Bath. Brenda is the ultimate professional and fun to work with; she listens without preconceived ideas of what the client should want, then makes valuable suggestions as appropriate, based on a great eye and extensive experience. It may be a bit more pricey than others, but the value is well worth the price. We were thrilled with the final product and wondered why we had waited so long!!

River Oaks Remake

Talent and integrity run deep at Edmond Kitchen and Bath (EKB). This combination , which seems so elusive today, can surely be found with this superb team under the direction of Robert and Brenda Helms.
At inception, they listen to their clients in an effort to know their likes/dislikes, budget constraints, and creative aesthetic. Their search for the creative and unusual, while being functional is a given- no cookie-cutter projects here! Their attention to detail is refreshing and reassuring.
From vision to design to final product, EKB provides a seamless execution, making an often stressful event a pleasure, and follow-up after the fact is superb. EKB maintains the same level of attention and commitment to quality from beginning to well after completion.
I look forward to working with EKB on our next 2016 project and would consider no other team with whom to work.

Kiddoc85

Contracted with Edmond Kitchen and Bath to remodel our kitchen, laundry room and living room. We are thrilled with the job they did. Very high quality with attention to every detail. Robert and Brenda (owners) are fabulous to work with. We will be using them again for bathroom and master bedroom remodel! Can’t say enough about the quality of work they perform. Highly recommend Edmond Kitchen and Bath!!

Stillwater Lodge

Before remodeling our 40 year-old kitchen, I interviewed several companies that specialized in kitchen and bath remodeling. The moment I met the folks from EKB, I knew that they were the right company for our project. They listened to our ideas and embraced our vision immediately. They executed the project beautifully, professionally, punctually, and joyfully. They knew just when to involve us in the decision-making process and had great suggestions that would enhance our project while staying within our budget. When it came time to remodel our bathrooms a few months later, there was no question that we would be working with EKB again!
